Thank you for visiting my page! On this page you will find a little bit about me!
I grew up in Massachusetts and have lived in or around Boston for the last 6 years. In 2013 I graduated from University of New Hampshire and earned a Bachelor of Science in Math Education. Two years later I graduated from Simmons College in Boston with a Masters of Arts in Teaching. I currently am working on a Masters in Educational Technology from Michigan State University. I work at the Dearborn STEM Academy in Roxbury, MA where my current role is teaching 7th grade Math.
Interests!
A few years ago I started painting. It is now one of my favorite things to do. I live on Cape Cod in the summer so one of my favorite things to paint is the beach! I love to share this passion with my students and whenever possible we work art into math. To the right there is a picture of my students in 2020 who were in my mural club working on a mural for the classroom.
Above are all paintings I made for my students who were celebrating their 13th birthday while we were remote during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Galway, Ireland
In the summer of 2019 I had the amazing experience of completing my coursework in Galway, Ireland. On the left you will see a picture I took on the NUIG campus.
